What does the future look like for the subprime industry in the auto sector?

From everything that we’ve seen so far, it looks as though most of the major subprime lenders in the automotive sector are pulling back at least through the second quarter of this year. Many are tightening their lending parameters and cutting back on the dollar amount of loans they will be making - in part due to the increasing costs of loan portfolio securitization.
