A lesson in geography

This may seem like an odd title to an article on special finance, but let’s take a look at what makes one special finance department better than another. In most cases, the more efficient a subprime department is, the better the customer experience. Since the little things sometimes make the most difference, let’s explore one of those “little” things.

How many times in a typical day do you give directions to your dealership? It used to be that most of your traffic came from floor ups. Your customers knew how to get to your dealership because they were already there. Then a few years ago, the internet stepped into the picture and things have never been the same. People stopped driving to your dealership and began surfing there. Even if your web site had a map, it was usually too small to be useful.

Now you get leads from your web site as well as from lead providers such as Auto Credit Express. When you call these leads to get them into the dealership, one of the things they will need to know is how to get there.

LotProOnline can do that

With LotProOnline’s lead center or F&I suite, the leads are fed directly into the program. When you open up the lead and go to the “Lead Residence Information” section, you will see two clickable lines just below the address column. One line states “Display Address on Map”, while the other line states “Get Driving Directions”.

Clicking on either one of these lines will take you to LotProOnline’s “Portal” tab. Once there, Google Maps will open up and will either display the address on a map or display driving directions – from the customer’s house to your dealership! You can print this information and it can also be emailed. This means that while you are on the phone with a customer, you can instantly give them accurate driving directions. You can also email these directions to them so that they can print it out at their office or home to bring with them so they won’t get lost. If that isn’t customer service, I don’t know what is!
